Sheriff Oborevwori Jnr Rewards Delta Youths with Cars
Sheriff Oborevwori Jnr, son of Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, has presented 10 cars to youths in Delta State as part of efforts to promote youth empowerment. The presentation took place at the grand finale of the Sheriff Oborevwori Jnr Invitational Soccer Tournament in Osubi.
The football competition ended with Uvwie Local Government Area emerging champions after defeating Okpe LGA. The tournament was organized by the Sheriff Jnr Care Foundation, an initiative focused on youth development, empowerment, and talent discovery across the state.
Representatives of the foundation said the car gifts were aimed at rewarding excellence and encouraging young people to pursue positive paths through sports and community involvement. They noted that the initiative aligns with broader plans to create opportunities for youths.
The event attracted a large crowd, including former Super Eagles striker Nwankwo Kanu, community leaders, and sports enthusiasts, turning Osubi into a festive center as winners and outstanding participants received prizes.
