Ugbajo Itsekiri USA Concludes Two-Day Health Outreach in Warri
Ugbajo Itsekiri USA, Inc. has successfully concluded a free two-day preventive health awareness and screening exercise at the Olu Palace Field, Warri, reinforcing its commitment to community well-being and sustainable public health advocacy. The initiative, tagged “Working Together to Build Healthier Communities,” was open to residents of all ages and focused on early detection and health education.

Supported by members of Ugbajo USA and its President, Dr. Mejebi Mayor, the programme featured diabetes education, blood pressure screening, eye checks and other basic health assessments. Medical personnel also provided health advice, stress management guidance and referrals for participants requiring further medical attention.
Speaking on the impact of the outreach, Nurse Oghomienor Sophia Oritsemofe told Warri Sentinel News that the exercise recorded an impressive turnout, adding that it was a timely intervention considering the daily stress faced by many Nigerians. She noted that beyond screenings, participants received health education on stress management and lifestyle adjustments to prevent avoidable illnesses, with referrals made where further medical attention was required.

Organisers explained that the biannual health initiative is part of Ugbajo Itsekiri USA’s broader social responsibility efforts, aimed at giving back to society and improving access to basic healthcare, particularly for indigent residents. They reaffirmed the group’s dedication to partnering with communities to promote healthier living and long-term well-being.
