APC Ward 1 Sapele Suspends Member Over Alleged Anti-Party Activities

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward 1 in Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State has announced the indefinite suspension of one of its members, Paul Oyiborume, over alleged anti-party activities.

The suspension was approved during an emergency meeting of the ward executive on Sunday after party leaders reviewed a petition raising concerns about the member’s conduct. The leadership said the action was taken to preserve party discipline and protect its public image.

Among the allegations listed against Oyiborume are prolonged absence from party activities, opposition to the zoning arrangement ahead of the APC national convention, and an alleged attempt to interrupt a meeting of the National Convention Central Coordinating Committee in Abuja on March 16, 2026.

In a statement signed by Ward Chairman Eriekefe Obosiewe and other executive members, the party also accused him of ignoring internal dispute resolution channels and taking grievances to the media with claims the leadership says are inaccurate and sensational. The ward executive said the suspension takes immediate effect and will remain in place while investigations continue.
