Warri South Council Launches Farm Estate in Orere-Uluba
The Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Comrade Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac, has unveiled a Farm Estate project in the riverine community of Orere-Uluba. He announced that the facility will include accommodation, a workshop, a training centre, electricity, and other essential infrastructure to support residents and workers.
Agbateyiniro revealed that a water borehole has already been installed and that the estate will feature livestock and crop production. He added that a speedboat procured by the council will enhance movement and business activities, and directed officials to appoint a local indigene as the estate manager in line with the Local Content Act.
He also disclosed measures to improve healthcare services in the community and confirmed that state officials were already extending electricity to the area. Delta State Commissioner for Agriculture, Barr. Ada Val Arenyeka, who officially flagged off the project, encouraged community leaders to nominate fishers who will receive new boats and engines.
The oldest man in Orere-Uluba, Pa. Sunday K. Titon, conveyed gratitude to the council and state government through the community secretary, promising that residents would safeguard the new projects.
