Video: Protea Hotel by Mariott Opens in Delta
Hospitality enthusiasts, politicians and distinguished guests gathered to felicitate with Evangelist Tony Aderojo on the grand opening of his Protea Hotel by Marriott Delta on Tuesday, September 24th in Warri.
The Hotel which was formerly a South-African based Bon Hotel franchise, situated at KM 3, NPA-Warri Express way, has been upgraded to join the largest hotel franchise in the world, U.S Based Marriott International.
Delta Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Johnson Erijo, praised the Chairman of Protea by Marriott Delta, serial business mogul, Evangelist Tony Aderojo and his management team for tapping into the M.O.R.E Agenda of his administration in the area of meaningful development, job creation and boosting the tourism sector of the state.
Governor Oborevwori, also urged the management to maintain the standard it is known for as it has placed the state on the international map.
Former President of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Papa Ayo Oritsejafor while offering prayers for the upgraded facility, thanked Evang. Aderojo for his commitment and passion towards boosting the hospitality sector in Warri and its environs.
In his address, Mr. Joy Hamadu, Deputy General Manager, revealed the conversion from Bon Hotels to Protea Hotel by Mariott Delta was not an easy journey.
Some elated guests shared their excitement about the upgraded 5 star hotel which has continued to attract international guests and investors to the state.
Protea Hotel by Mariott Delta is the first in Delta State. It is expected to benefit the local economy around Warri, Uvwie, Okpe and other adjoining LGAs.
