Tinubu Visits Survivors of Benue Attack
President Bola Tinubu has visited survivors of last Friday’s deadly herdsmen attack on Yelewata community in Benue State during a condolence trip to the state.
Arriving at Nigeria Air Force Base Airport in Makurdi around 1 pm, the president immediately proceeded to Benue State University Teaching Hospital to meet and comfort those injured in the attack that claimed over 200 lives.
The visit underscores the president’s commitment to addressing the human toll of the violence and seeking ways to support affected communities. After meeting survivors, President Tinubu headed to the Benue State Government House to engage with local leaders and stakeholders in a town hall meeting aimed at finding lasting solutions to the ongoing security challenges posed by armed herdsmen in the state.
