President Tinubu Orders Jobs, ₦250K Awards for 200 NYSC Corps
President Bola Tinubu has announced the immediate employment of 200 exceptional NYSC corps members into the federal civil service. Each will also receive ₦250,000 as a reward for their outstanding service from 2020 to 2023.
At the ceremony held in Abuja, and represented by the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, President Tinubu praised the honorees for their dedication, patriotism, and teamwork.
Beyond jobs and cash prizes, every awardee including 10 who suffered disabilities while serving will be granted scholarships to pursue postgraduate studies at any Nigerian university.
The President emphasized his administration’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment through education, technology, and skills development programs, urging young Nigerians to remain hopeful and united against divisive forces.
Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, hailed the President’s passion for youth progress, while NYSC Director-General Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu lauded recent improvements, including the NYSC allowance hike to ₦77,000 and enhanced post-service
