Ondo Police Officer’s Son Kills Brother in Ritual

The community of Odigbo Local Government Area is reeling after a 26-year-old man allegedly beheaded his 15-year-old brother in a suspected ritual killing.

The elder brother, Daniel, reportedly lured Emmanuel to a secluded area near the Origbara River, where the killing took place. A passerby raised alarm upon spotting Daniel carrying the severed head in a bag.

Angered by the incident, the community youths attacked and killed Daniel, heightening tensions in the area.

Residents expressed shock, recalling prior sibling disputes but suspecting deeper reasons for the violent act.

The Ondo State Police Command confirmed the case, announcing that the Commissioner of Police has ordered an immediate and discreet investigation by the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).
