PDP Governors Holds Closed-Door Meeting in Asaba

Twelve governors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are currently in a closed-door meeting in Asaba, Delta State, to address “issues affecting the party’s unity.

Sources confirmed that the emergency session, which began late Thursday evening, is unrelated to the ongoing internal crisis within the opposition party.Dressed in traditional South-South attire, the governors were received by Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

The meeting follows a gala night at the Delta Government House attended by key stakeholders, including PDP governors such as Bala Mohammed of Bauchi, Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers, Umo Eno of Akwa-Ibom, and others.

The PDP’s internal challenges have prompted several efforts to ensure unity within the party, and this latest gathering reflects continued attempts to address these concerns.
