Omo-Agege Calls for Inclusion of Loyal APC Supporters
Former Deputy Senate President and 2023 Delta APC governorship candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has called for greater inclusion of loyal party members in governance. Speaking at the Delta APC stakeholders’ meeting in Asaba, Omo-Agege argued that excluding party supporters from key positions weakens the APC’s internal cohesion and its future prospects.
The senator, who garnered over 240,000 votes in the 2023 election, stressed the importance of rewarding loyalty and ensuring that grassroots supporters remain engaged in the party’s leadership. He emphasized that the future success of the APC in Delta depends on maintaining unity and incorporating the contributions of loyal members into governance.
While reaffirming his commitment to working alongside Governor Sheriff Oborewvori and other party leaders, Omo-Agege underscored the need for balanced leadership. He also pledged to support President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and to collaborate with the governor to improve governance in the state.
Governor Oborewvori, in his remarks, called for unity within the party, urging members to prioritize collective goals over personal interests. The meeting highlighted the growing momentum and realignment within the APC ahead of upcoming elections.
