Olu of Warri, Queen Consort of Warri Kingdom Honoured in America

His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, the Olu of Warri and Her Majesty, Olori Atuwatse III, Queen Consort of the Warri Kingdom, have been awarded the 2024 Most Influential 100 Hall of Fame award in New York, USA.

The recognition, backed by the United Nations, acknowledged their significant contributions to social impact and their commitment to the International Decade of People of African Descent.

In a statement released by Mr. Adeniyi Ifetayo, Media Aide to the royal couple, the honour is sequel to their visionary leadership and dedication to the welfare of both the Warri Kingdom and the African continent.

The statement highlighted the Olu of Warri’s “purposeful leadership,” which has revitalised cultural heritage and prioritised the well-being of his subjects.

The award ceremony, Most Influential People of Africa Descent coincided with the United Nations General Assembly and celebrates influential figures of African origin.
