141 UNIDEL Students Get FG Bursary

The Federal Government Scholarship Board has approved education bursaries for 141 students from the University of Delta, Agbor (UNIDEL) Warri Sentinel has learnt.

The announcement was made by Dr. Juliana Oyaide, Director of the Scholarship Board Unit at the Federal Ministry of Education, during a visit to UNIDEL on 27 September 2024.

Dr. Oyaide highlighted that the recipients are primarily from the Faculty of Education and encouraged university management to regularly check the Scholarship Board’s website for updates on available scholarships.

She reaffirmed the Board’s dedication to providing financial support to students across various levels of education, including undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Students are eligible to apply for several scholarships, such as the Federal Government Scholarship Award, Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA), and Commonwealth Scholarship Awards.

In response, UNIDEL Vice Chancellor Prof. Stella Chiemeke praised Oyaide’s efforts in securing these opportunities for students and urged her to continue advocating for additional support.
