Okpebholo Shuts Brothel Operating in Primary School
Authorities in Edo State have sealed a brothel allegedly operating within a primary school in Ujuele, Esan West Local Government Area.
The State Coordinator for the Protection of Government Property, Hon. Eugene Okolosie, disclosed this during a press briefing in Benin City, on Thursday, May 22 stating the move is part of a wider clampdown on illegal land use.
“The community came to inform us that land grabbers forged their signatures and we moved into action and recovered about 90 per cent of the land back, including lands belonging to schools.”

He said over 2,000 plots of encroached government land have been recovered, including properties around Ambrose Alli University. Okolosie added that some communities had sold off parts of public school lands and even a government food silo.
The agency has received over 3,000 petitions regarding illegal land acquisition in the past two months.
