Oborevwori Inspects Trans-Warri/Ode-Itsekiri Road, Reaffirms 18-Months Completion
Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Friday, May 2, inspected the ongoing Trans-Warri/Ode-Itsekiri Road and Access Bridges project in Warri South Local Government Area.

During the inspection of the 20.95km road and bridge network, the Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering quality infrastructure and assured residents that the long-standing project would be completed within 18 months.
Governor Oborevwori was accompanied by the Chairman of Warri South Local Government Council, Hon. Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac, along with other key stakeholders.

Also speaking at the site, the South-South Regional Manager of Setraco Nigeria Ltd., Mr. JayJay, promised that the project would be completed within the stipulated timeframe.

The project, which includes 19 completed bridges, was initially awarded in 2006 during the administration of former Governor James Ibori. It has since faced numerous delays.
Once finished, the road will connect several riverine communities including Ifiekporo, Ugbodede, Usele, Inorin, Ajigba, and Ode-Itsekiri.

Governor Oborevwori said the project is expected to be inaugurated as part of celebrations marking the Olu of Warri’s 5th coronation anniversary.
