Oborevwori Allocates N50bn for Roads in Delta State’s 2025 Budget
Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has earmarked N50 billion for road infrastructure in the 2025 budget across the state’s 25 local government areas.
Charles Aniagwu, Commissioner for Works (Rural and Riverine Roads), revealed the allocation during a budget defense meeting with the Assembly’s Committee on Works in Asaba on Wednesday, November 21.

Aniagwu explained that the funds would be distributed evenly across the LGAs as part of the governor’s “MORE Agenda,” which focuses on completing ongoing projects and initiating new ones. He highlighted Oborevwori’s commitment to improving rural roads and living standards in local communities.
The commissioner also noted that the government was revising project costs to reflect current economic conditions, ensuring contractors are fully mobilized to avoid delays.
