The Ughelli Kingdom has moved swiftly to counter an online message claiming that movement had been restricted within Ughelli and its environs.

In a formal statement issued from the palace, the Otota of the Great Ughelli Kingdom, Olorogun Peter Tobore Akpofure, speaking on behalf of the Ovie, His Royal Majesty Dr. Wilson O. Oharisi III, JP, clarified that the monarch had no connection to the circulating notice.

The palace stressed that Ughelli remains calm and accessible, warning that unverified information of that nature could heighten public anxiety and disrupt normal life.

Residents were urged to ignore the post and rely on official communication channels, as the kingdom reaffirmed its commitment to peace, lawful conduct and unrestricted movement throughout the area.
