NFSS Warns Bandits to Vacate Delta Forests or Face Showdown

The Nigeria’s Forests Security Services (NFSS) has issued a stern warning to bandits hiding in Delta State forests, urging them to vacate immediately or prepare for a decisive confrontation. Deputy Commandant General (Special Duties) Sunday Ojakovo said the agency’s operatives are ready to wipe out criminal elements from forests across the country once they receive orders from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Speaking at the grand finale of a five-day capacity-building training for NFSS officers in Ughelli, Ojakovo reaffirmed the service’s commitment to securing Nigeria’s forests and eradicating social vices. He stressed that the nation’s ungoverned forests must be reclaimed, calling on officers to put their training into practice.

He commended the discipline and professionalism displayed by the participants, as well as the quality of instruction provided by resource personnel. Delta State Commandant Amb. Jonathan Obokohwemu said the training had a strong impact, boosting the readiness of officers to protect the country’s forest territories.
