NDDC Boss Honoured with Chieftaincy Title in Rivers Community

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Dr Samuel Ogbuku, has been installed as the Pere Se Bobo of Ogu Kingdom in Rivers State. The ceremony took place in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area under the auspices of the Ogu Divisional Council of Chiefs.

The council said the title was conferred in recognition of Dr Ogbuku’s contributions to community development in Ogu Kingdom and the broader Niger Delta region. With the installation, he becomes a full member of the traditional council.

Dr Ogbuku expressed gratitude to the chiefs and people of Ogu Kingdom, noting that the honour strengthens his resolve to continue supporting development initiatives across the region.

The event was rounded off with traditional activities, including participation in the Omuaru Boat Regatta, adding cultural significance to the occasion.
