Local Government Chairman Slumps in APC Meeting 

Chairman of Bariga Local Government, Kolade Alabi, suddenly collapsed on Wednesday during a stakeholders’ meeting at the Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat

Alabi, who also heads the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), was addressing attendees when he slumped at noon, causing alarm among party members and dignitaries.

In a video of the incident circulating on social media, Alabi was helped swiftly out of the venue to the hospital for medical attention. The cause of the collapse remains unknown.

The meeting, held at the APC secretariat on Acme Road in Ikeja, was temporarily suspended.

Party members have expressed concern and wished him a speedy recovery.
