Ikpeba, Taribo West, Other Ex Super Eagles Legends Lace Up Boots For Olu of Warri

-As Agbateyiniro, Olu Of Warri Chiefs Play in Youth XI

Nigerian former professional footballers, Victor Ikpeba, Taribo West, Mutiu Adepoju, Ifeanyi Udeze were among the Very Important Persons who featured in a novelty match in commemoration of the Olu of Warri’s third year on the throne of the ancient Warri Kingdom.

The novelty match, which was witnessed by Warri Sentinel held weekend at the Nana College school field, Warri with Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, his Olori, Queen Consort of Warri Kingdom and other members of the royal family as spectators.

The Ex Super Eagles International featured in the Chevron All-stars team which was captained by Prince Toju Emiko comprising a member of the novelty match planning committee, Prince Godstime Emiko and other top staffers of Chevron Ltd., while the Chairman of the 3rd Coronation Anniversary Committee, Chief Francis Omatseye captained the Youth Xi comprising the Chairman of Warri South LGA, Oritseweyinmi Agbateyiniro, Comrade Godwin Utieyin, Acting President of the Itsekiri National Youth Council (INYC) and other prominent sons of Warri Kingdom.

Ex Real Madrid and Sociedad Midfielder, Mutiu Adepoju scored the only goal of the match from a nicely curled free-kick from another Ex-International, Victor Ikpeba to crown Chevron All-Stars winners of the entertaining game.

Chiefs Francis Omatseye, Edwin Olley, Omolubi Newuwumi, Tony G. Erewa and Engr. Wilson Olley presented medals to all the players on behalf of the Olu of Warri.
