“God Is Rewriting Itsekiri’s Story” -Olu of Warri

The Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, has said Iwẹrẹland is entering a new phase of divine restoration, saying God is “about to rewrite” the story of Warri Kingdom.

Speaking on Sunday at the Annual Thanksgiving Service of Warri Kingdom at the Palace Chapel in Ajamimogha, the monarch, flanked by his wife, Olori Atuwatse III, children and chiefs led by the Ologbotsere of Warri kingdom, Chief Oma Eyewuoma, expressed gratitude for God’s blessings on the kingdom.

“God is about to rewrite the Iwẹrẹ story. The Lord is going to make our story beautiful. it will not come with pride and arrogance; it will come with grace and humility,” Atuwatse III declared.

Representing Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kingsley Emu, praised the monarch’s leadership style and commitment to peace and development.

He recalled the Olu’s symbolic ride on a royal scooter along the Trans-Warri–Ode Itsekiri Road as a gesture of appreciation to the state government.

“You shone like a thousand stars with your contributions to the security fund of the state,” Emu said, adding that 19 bridges and key access roads had been completed, with more projects underway.

The service featured a sermon on God’s mercy by Bishop Bawo Atone of the Itsekiri Christian Assembly, followed by prayers for the monarch, Warri Kingdom, Delta State and Nigeria.

Dignitaries including lawmakers, commissioners, Itsekiri sons and daughters attended the service.
