Agbolayah Congratulates Obi Azinge on Coronation as 14th Asagba of Asaba

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Community Development, Amb. Dr. Toyin Orighomisan Agbolayah JP, has congratulated Obi Prof. Epiphany Azinge (SAN), OON, on his successful coronation as the 14th Asagba of Asaba. The coronation ceremony took place on Saturday, September 5, 2024, and was attended by sons and daughters of the Asaba kingdom, as well as several high-profile dignitaries.

In his congratulatory message, Dr. Agbolayah described Prof. Azinge as an astute academic and a brilliant, reliable lawyer. He stated that Prof. Azinge’s emergence as the traditional ruler was both timely and well deserved, especially considering he is succeeding another distinguished academic, Obi Prof. Chike Edozien, a giant in the field of medicine.

Dr. Agbolayah urged Prof. Azinge to bring his extensive experience to bear on his new role as the custodian of the cultural heritage of the Asaba people. “Given the antecedents of Obi Prof. Azinge as a brilliant lawyer and academic of great repute, I have no doubt that he will use his wealth of experience to improve the cultural heritage of Asaba people,” he said. “Prof. Azinge, aside from his academic and legal achievements, is known for his peaceful nature, and it is no surprise that the people of Asaba have found him worthy to lead them as their traditional ruler.”

Dr. Agbolayah concluded by extending his best wishes for a successful tenure, saying, “I wish Obi Prof. Epiphany Azinge a successful tenure as the 14th Asagba of Asaba, and I pray that God Almighty grants him many fruitful years, along with the strength and wisdom to lead his people effectively.”
