14th Asagba, Obi Azinge Promises Unity And Infrastructural Growth
The newly crowned Asagba of Asaba, Professor Epiphany Azinge, has pledged to ensure the rich cultural heritage of Asaba is preserved. His coronation at the Asagba Palace marked a turning point, as he vowed to make a significant impact on the lives of both residents and indigenes.
In his speech, Obi Azinge stated his intention to leverage his experience and influence to foster infrastructural development, with particular emphasis on establishing a federal university in Asaba, a longstanding yearning of the people. He stressed the importance of inclusivity, stating that no one in his domain would be left behind.
The new traditional ruler who succeeded the late Obi Chike Edizien, the 13th Asagba of Asaba appealed for unity as he called on former contenders for the throne to work alongside him for the betterment of Asaba.
Warri Sentinel gathered that dignitaries at the event include former Delta State Governor Chief James Ibori, palace chiefs, title holders, and traditional rulers from across the nation.
Professor Azinge’s coronation is seen as a new chapter in Asaba’s history -one that promises growth, inclusivity, and progress for all residents.
