Man Loses Pregnant Wife After Doctor Allegedly Relies on YouTube for Surgery

A Nigerian man has tragically lost his pregnant wife and their unborn child after a doctor in Owerri allegedly used YouTube videos to perform a surgical procedure.

The devastating incident was shared on Wednesday, February 5, in a viral post on X where Onyekachi Eze, the grieving husband detailed his experience at the hospital. He claimed that the doctor had initially called in another person to assist with the surgery but, upon their arrival, the medical team resorted to watching videos on YouTube to learn how to conduct the operation.

“In the operating room, I saw them pressing their phones, watching YouTube to learn how to perform the surgery,” the husband recounted.

The case has been reported to the Imo Police Command for investigation.

The incident has since sparked widespread outrage on social media, with many users expressing disbelief and anger at the apparent lapse in medical professionalism.
