Warri South LG Gives Fresh Deadline for Revenue Agent Applications

Authorities of Warri South Local Government Council have invited interested individuals to apply for engagement as revenue agents, weeks after dissolving all revenue committees for 2025. The council granted applicants a one-week window to submit their applications.

The dissolution, announced on January 5, also came with a directive for former committee members to return all council documents in their possession. Residents were earlier advised to disregard revenue demands from the disbanded agents pending further notice.

In a statement issued by the Secretary to the Local Government, Mr. Emmanuel Nunu, applications are to be submitted between January 22 and January 30 through his office. The council assured that a new structure would soon be put in place.

According to the council, measures have been introduced to prevent multiple levies and protect residents and business owners from undue financial pressure in the coming year.
