Thugs Disrupt Edo High Court Election Hearing

Chaos erupted outside the Edo State High Court in Benin City as unidentified thugs attempted to interrupt a pre-hearing session on the validity of the September 21 governorship election results.

Supporters of seven political parties challenging the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were gathered outside the courtroom when a group of individuals launched an attack, chasing several people in different directions, causing panic and chaos.

Security forces swiftly intervened, securing the entrance to the court and establishing roadblocks on surrounding routes to restore order. A video circulating on social media showed people fleeing the scene as the thugs pursued them.
