Suspected Yahoo Boy Kills Three in Deadly Crash in Udu, Delta State

A suspected internet fraudster, popularly known as a “yahoo boy,” has been involved in a fatal crash in Okpaka community, Udu Local Government Area, Delta State, that killed a woman, her child, and a customer.

The incident occurred on Thursday evening, January 16, when the suspect, driving a Toyota Camry at high speed, lost control and crashed into a shop where the victims were.

Residents say the woman and her child were in the shop when the car rammed into the building, killing them instantly. A man, who had come to buy goods from the shop, was also killed in the crash. Witnesses described the incident as horrific, with the suspect reportedly speeding recklessly through the area.

Following the crash, residents of the community quickly apprehended the suspect, subjecting him to a brutal beating before handing him over to the police. It is unclear at this stage whether the suspect was severely injured in the attack, but he was taken into police custody shortly after.

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, has not yet commented on the incident.
