Staff of Office: Oborevwori, Dafinone, Ereyitomi, Guwor, Omo-Agege, Felicitate with the Ovie of Agbarha Kingdom

Congratulatory messages from prominent Deltans have continued to pour in for His Royal Majesty, Kingsley Emuakpo Orereh, Igbi II, the newly installed monarch of Agbarha Kingdom in Warri South Local Government of Delta State. 

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, Senator Ede Dafinone, Representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Hon. (Chief) Thomas Ereyitomi, Representing Warri Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, former Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate and Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 general elections and Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly were among dignitaries who congratulated the newly-installed Ovie of Agbarha Kingdom. 

At a well attended Presentation of Staff of Office  ceremony at the Shell RA, Ogunu, Warri, on Friday, June 21, 2024, the Governor who was represented by his deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme reiterated the state government’s “dedication to supporting traditional institutions and fostering regional development.” 

In separate statements via their social media accounts, prominent Urhobo sons and politicians such as Senator Ede Dafinone, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege congratulated the Agbarha monarch and assured him of their prayers and support. 

“I humbly urge you to build on the enviable legacies of your forefathers, including upholding the cultural heritage and traditions of Agbarha Kingdom in Warri South Local Government Area. There is nothing as heartwarming as to have a worthy and experienced person as you to be crowned as Ovie of Agbarha Kingdom. Your subjects are blessed”, Ovie Omo Agege said in part of his statement.

On their parts, Hon. Thomas Ereyitomi and Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor speaking separately during the event, congratulated the latest member of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council and pledged to extend the dividends of governance to the throne and good people of Agbarha kingdom, Warri South.

Speaking publicly for the first time after his installation earlier today via a widely-streamed faith-based program tagged, Streams of Joy, the Urhobo monarch expressed gratitude to God for sparing his life to witness his coronation, recounting how his faith and prayers of Pastor Jerry Eze led him out of the den of kidnappers in May 2023 when he was returning to Warri from Lagos.

“I was actually crowned on December 5, 2023 but I patiently waited till I got the staff of office before coming back here to give this testimony,” he added.
