Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan Returns, Slams Akpabio

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has returned to the National Assembly following the removal of a controversial seal placed on her office during a six-month suspension.

The senator, who represents Kogi Central, arrived defiantly on Tuesday, stating she had “no apology to tender” after a prolonged legal battle and months of political tension.

Her suspension in March followed protests over the reassignment of her Senate seat, a move she said was unfair and orchestrated by Senate President Godswill Akpabio. A Federal High Court later ruled her suspension unconstitutional.

While she has resumed work, questions remain over whether she will be granted full privileges when Senate plenary resumes next month.
