Remi Tinubu Celebrates Women on International Women’s Day

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has honoured women around the world on International Women’s Day, praising their resilience, hard work, and achievements.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Tinubu marked the 2025 observance of the day, which carries the theme: “For All Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.” The theme calls for global action to ensure that all women and girls are empowered and free from discrimination.

“This day is a celebration of the strength, resilience, and accomplishments of women and girls across the globe,” Tinubu said. “The theme for this year serves as a powerful reminder of the need to reaffirm our commitment to a society where every woman and girl can thrive, free from discrimination and limitations.”

The First Lady also urged women to unite and support one another in their ongoing fight for equality. “Let us all endeavour to lift each other up, one woman at a time,” she added.

Tinubu’s message comes at a time when women are making strides in various sectors, advocating for rights and equality. She called for continued efforts to build a world where women can achieve their fullest potential, without barriers or limitations.
