Regina Daniels’ Brother Released After Arrest

Samuel Ojeogwu, known as Sammy West and brother of actress Regina Daniels, is free after facing charges of criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, and theft. Reports link his arrest to a petition reportedly filed by Daniels’ estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

Daniels shared her excitement on Instagram, posting a video where she said, “And my brother is out. So, one battle down,” while thanking fans and well-wishers for supporting her family during the ordeal.

Ojeogwu was arraigned at the Abuja Magistrate Court on November 6, 2025, after the FCT Police received the petition on October 28. He was granted bail of ₦5 million, secured by human rights lawyer Marshal Abubakar, with the next hearing scheduled for November 28.

The video also captured Daniels reflecting on the support she received from her family, friends, fans, and online community. Friends and well-wishers, including actress Mercy Johnson, were seen celebrating his release.
