Police, Community Foil Armed Robbery Attack in Egbokodo, Arrest Suspect

Operatives of the ‘A’ Division in Warri, Delta State, successfully thwarted an attempted armed robbery at a private residence in the Egbokodo Itsekiri Community early in the morning. The occupants of the building narrowly avoided danger after a distress call prompted a patrol team to mobilize to the scene around 5 a.m., where they worked alongside community members to seal off the area.

During the operation, security personnel apprehended a 38-year-old suspect identified as Emmanuel Solomon inside the premises. A bag containing two cut-to-size double-barrel guns and five live cartridges was also recovered from him.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the arrest in a statement released on Thursday, highlighting the swift collaboration between the police and the local community in averting the incident.
