Police Arrest Two for Smoking on Patrol Van in Viral Video in Delta

The Delta State Police Command has arrested two men, Patrick Asini (34) and Tega Ojo (20), after a viral video showed them smoking suspected marijuana on a police patrol van and making obscene gestures.

The video, posted on X (formerly Twitter), showed one man sitting on a patrol van marked “Nigeria Police Force Anti-crime Patrol, Oghara Division,” while another voice made profane remarks and gestured rudely at officers.

Police spokesperson SP Bright Edafe confirmed the arrest and said items recovered included an army uniform, axe, cutlass, phones, laptops, marijuana, and rolling papers.

Edafe reaffirmed the command’s commitment to maintaining order and urged the public to engage positively with law enforcement.
