OML 150 Forum Leaders Denounce Dissolution Claims
The OML 150 Communities Consultative Forum, led by Dr. Monday Agbeyi, has rejected reports from Warri-based newspaper Fresh Angle International alleging that the Forum has been dissolved.
A statement issued by its Vice Chairman, Comrade Emmanuel Afortan, described the reports as baseless and warned that they have the potential to incite unrest within the OML 150 host communities in Warri, Delta State. Afortan accused the sources behind these reports of deliberately attempting to create discord among the communities.
The Forum’s statement, referencing the legal principle Nemo dat quod non habet (“no one can give what they do not have”), challenged the legitimacy of those proposing the dissolution.
The Forum was established during the tenure of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and has received official approval from the Delta State Government’s Ministry of Oil and Gas and the Palace of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III CFR, Warri Sentinel learnt.

The leadership condemned the dissolution claims as a direct affront to the State Government and the Olu of Warri. They called on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the Olu of Warri to address the actions of individuals such as Chief Billy Besigiwa, Johnson Onire, Fidelix Orugboh, and Samson Agintan, emphasizing that the Forum’s tenure must be respected.
