Oluremi Tinubu Joins, Melania Trump, other First Ladies at AI Summit
Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, attended the “Fostering the Future Together Summit” hosted by Melania Trump on Wednesday at the White House in Washington, D.C. She was among 45 first ladies, including Brigitte Macron, who gathered for the event, which focused on expanding access to educational tools and safeguarding children in digital environments.
During the summit, Melania Trump introduced Figure 3, an American-made humanoid system, marking the first time such technology was formally presented to international leaders in a diplomatic setting at the White House. Trump noted that artificial intelligence is moving from mobile devices to humanoid forms that deliver utility, adding that the technology could reshape the global order. She called on the coalition of first ladies to support concrete initiatives that equip young people with the necessary skills through investment, expanded access, and new opportunities.
Officials from nine countries, including the United States, France, Poland, the United Arab Emirates, and Morocco, also presented national strategies aimed at integrating technology into education systems.
