Oka Community Wins Olu of Warri Peace Cup, as Awards Honour Late Awala

Oka Community has been crowned champions of the 10th Olu of Warri Community Peace Cup, after an exciting final played on Sunday, 17 August.

The tournament aims promote grassroots football and peace across Warri communities.

This year’s edition introduced new individual awards created in memory of the late Hon. Justice Alfred Eyewumi Awala. With support from his son, Gbubemi Awala, Mr Jonathan Awala, prizes were presented to the Highest Goal Scorer, Best Goalkeeper, Fair Play Team, Best Coach and Player of the Tournament.

The awards celebrated excellence on and off the pitch, while also preserving the legacy of Justice Awala, remembered for his contributions to justice and community development.
