Oborevwori Marks Armed Forces Remembrance Day in Asaba

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori today marked the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day at the Cenotaph in Asaba, where he paid tribute to Nigeria’s fallen soldiers.

Governor Oborevwori, accompanied by senior state officials and military personnel, participated in a wreath-laying ceremony to honour the lives of those who have sacrificed for the nation’s peace and security.

In a brief address to journalists after the event, the governor stressed the importance of supporting the families of fallen heroes, and the need for continued commitment to their welfare.

“We want to reassure their families that they will never be neglected. In every way possible, we will continue to support the widows and those currently serving on the frontlines.”

The Armed Forces Remembrance Day held annually, serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by the nation’s military in protecting Nigeria’s sovereignty and security.
