NUPRC, Revenue Service Move to Strengthen Oil and Gas Collections
The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) and the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) have agreed to deepen cooperation to boost government revenue.
The agreement followed a meeting in Abuja between NUPRC Chief Executive, Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, and NRS Chairman, Mr. Zacch Adedeji.
The engagement comes on the heels of new tax laws that took effect on January 1, 2026, which require closer coordination in oil and gas revenue administration.
Both agencies pledged to align operations to meet national revenue targets and improve fiscal performance.
