NSCDC Deploys 956 Personnel for Easter Security in Delta

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Delta State Command, has deployed 956 personnel across the state to guarantee safety and security during the Easter celebrations.

State Commandant, Igbo Chinedu, disclosed that the deployment is part of a “swift response” strategy aimed at identified blackspots and flashpoints. According to him, the move is designed to ensure effective coverage of public spaces, critical infrastructure, and communities that often record increased criminal activities during festive periods.

Addressing officers ahead of the operation, Chinedu stressed the need for professionalism and discipline, urging them to go beyond routine patrols by integrating intelligence with proactive measures. He charged the personnel to remain vigilant and committed to their duties, particularly in safeguarding critical national assets and infrastructure, which he noted are frequently targeted in Delta State.

He also highlighted the importance of collaboration with other security agencies, assuring residents of their safety.
