Nigeria to Introduce Drug Testing for Tertiary Students
Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, has expressed support for compulsory and random drug tests for students in tertiary institutions.
Speaking during a meeting with the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Retired Brigadier General Buba Marwa, the minister also approved plans to update the secondary school curriculum to include enhanced drug education.
He further announced the formation of an inter-ministerial working group with the NDLEA to address drug abuse in schools.
