In a memo dated April 9, the NBC declared that the song would be classified as Not To Be Broadcast (NTBB), under Section 3.1.8 of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code. The commission stated that the song’s lyrical content failed to meet the required standards of responsible broadcasting.

Susan Obi, the Coordinating Director of Broadcast Monitoring at the NBC, said that the song’s content does not align with the broadcasting code’s guidelines on public morality. The code mandates broadcasters to ensure that their programming does not promote content that is indecent, harmful, or offensive to society.
