Mulade Urges Ijaw, Itsekiri, Urhobo Unity for Delta’s Development

Niger Delta activist and United Nations Peace Ambassador, Comrade Mulade Sheriff, has called on the Ijaw, Urhobo, and Itsekiri ethnic groups in Delta State to put aside their differences and work together for the state’s socio-economic progress.

Mulade expressed concern that persistent inter-ethnic rivalries have discouraged investors and hindered job creation, especially for the youth. He argued that development cannot thrive in an environment dominated by division and hostility.

He appealed to political leaders and traditional rulers to lead by example, fostering reconciliation and collaboration rather than conflict. By prioritising peace and unity, Mulade believes the state can unlock its full economic potential and improve the lives of its citizens.

The environmentalist also warned that selfish political interests have been a major obstacle to progress, urging all stakeholders to embrace a collective vision for Delta’s future. He stressed that lasting peace would not only benefit the ethnic groups involved but also the state as a whole.
