“I Am 100% PDP” – Abigor Pledges Loyalty Amid Mass Defection

A former leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Warri South Local Government Area, Emmanuel Shola Abigor, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the party, even as key figures in Delta State, including Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, officially defected from the PDP to the All Progressive Congress (APC) on Monday, April 28.

Speaking in an interview with Warri Sentinel on Tuesday, April 29, Abigor said he remains firmly aligned with the PDP, citing its guiding principles and ideology as the foundation of his loyalty.

“I am 100% PDP,” he stated. “I don’t believe in the politics of decamping. This is the time for us to come together and salvage the problems within the party.”

Abigor emphasised the need for collective patience and discipline while the party awaits direction from its national leadership.

“The issues at hand must be addressed, but we must allow the national body the space to resolve the crisis. Until then, we stay committed,” he added.

While acknowledging the departure of some party members, Abigor refrained from criticising them.

“I’m not here to disparage anyone who has left. We must keep the flag flying and remain focused until the matter is resolved,” he said.
