Governor Okpebholo Saves Over 10 Lives After Edo Road Accident

Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has intervened at the scene of a serious road accident on the Benin-Auchi highway on Saturday. While en route to Irrua, the governor encountered a traffic jam caused by a crash involving multiple vehicles. Upon investigating, he found several people injured, some of them in critical condition and bleeding heavily.

In a swift response, Governor Okpebholo directed his security vehicles to transport the victims to a nearby hospital. The governor personally supervised the rescue operation, ensuring the injured, including a woman with severe injuries, were carefully placed in the vehicles and rushed for urgent medical treatment.

Eyewitnesses reported that the accident occurred when the driver of a white Toyota Venza drove against traffic, colliding with three commercial minibuses and causing a major traffic standstill.

Despite the chaos, Governor Okpebholo remained on-site until he was assured that all victims were safely conveyed to a medical facility. His actions were met with widespread praise from residents and motorists, who commended the governor’s compassion and quick thinking in a moment of crisis.
