Family of Alleged Rape Victim Urges Public to Attend Abuja Pastor’s Trial

The family of a 14-year-old girl allegedly raped by Abuja-based pastor Amos Isah is calling on the public and civil society to attend his upcoming trial, scheduled for September 30 at the FCT High Court in Maitama.

Pastor Isah, founder of the Prophetic Victory Voice of Fire Ministry in Gwagwalada, is accused of luring the teenager into his church’s auditorium, locking her in, and committing the assault. He allegedly handed her ₦3,000 afterward and issued threats to silence her and her family.

According to relatives, the incident has left the family emotionally shattered, but they remain hopeful that justice will prevail. They allege that the pastor has a history of preying on underage girls, a claim now gaining attention among rights activists.

Despite fears of interference due to Isah’s connections, the family has received support from child advocacy groups and urged the FCID to press on with the case. “All we want is justice for our daughter,” the victim’s father said.
