EFCC Probes Blessing CEO Over Alleged ₦300m Cancer Fund Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been petitioned to investigate social media personality, Blessing Okoro Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO, over allegations of cyberbullying, forgery and a multi-million naira fundraising fraud.

The petition, dated April 8, 2026, was filed by S.M. Anyanwu & Co (Chieze Chambers) on behalf of Mrs. Mbara Deborah, a breast cancer patient based in Asaba, Delta State. The petitioner accused the influencer of altering Deborah’s medical records to falsely present her condition as Stage Four cancer in order to solicit public donations.

According to the petition, Deborah was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2025 at Xinus Medical Diagnostic. Blessing CEO, who had previously been a client of Deborah’s makeup business, allegedly obtained her medical report and manipulated it to attract sympathy and financial contributions from the public.

The family claimed that more than ₦300 million was raised through the campaign, but the funds were not remitted to the patient. They further alleged that Deborah’s health condition was exploited for personal gain, prompting a formal complaint to the EFCC for investigation.
