Delta State Tops Federal Allocation with N128.3BN
In the latest distribution of federal allocations, Delta State has emerged as the top beneficiary, receiving a substantial N128.3 billion, the highest among the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
This allocation is part of the N1.48 trillion shared among all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
This was made known by Budgit, a Nigerian non-governmental organization that promotes transparency, accountability, and citizen engagement in government budgeting and public financial management.
Delta’s significant share places it at the top of the list, followed by Rivers State with N107.8 billion, Lagos with N106.2 billion, Akwa Ibom at N88.3 billion, and Bayelsa at N76.2 billion.
BudgIT’s breakdown reveals that five states, including the top-ranked Delta, received over N50 billion each, while 15 states were allocated between N30 billion and N50 billion. The remaining 17 states received below N29 billion.
