Delta Queens Unveiled as NWFL Season Kicks Off

The Delta State Sports Commission has presented the new Delta Queens squad as preparations intensify for the 2025/2026 Nigeria Women Football League season. The unveiling in Asaba demonstrated the state’s determination to remain a strong force in Nigerian women’s football.

Chairman of the Commission, Hon. Onoriode Oborevwori said the team is fully prepared and reaffirmed the state government’s pledge to provide steady support throughout the season. He commended the club for its long-standing record of uplifting young female athletes within and beyond Delta State.

The Queens will begin their campaign with a tough away fixture against Nasarawa Amazons on November 26. Supporters anticipate a strong performance as the team aims to regain its spot among the league’s top contenders.
