Delta Grassroots Leader Allegedly Abducted By Unknown Gunmen

A grassroots community leader, David Odeli, has been abducted by unknown gunmen today in the New Layout area of Egbokodo, Itsekiri, Delta State.

Reports say the assailants arrived in two black Hilux vehicles, forcefully took Odeli, and also made off with his personal car.

His wife, Mrs. Esanye Odeli, confirmed the incident to Warri Sentinel, stating that her husband was taken from Aje Street in the New Layout area.

The reason behind the abduction remains unclear, as the police have not yet commented on the situation.

A local community leader, who spoke anonymously, also verified the incident, adding that efforts are underway to determine Odeli’s whereabouts and secure his release.
