Delta Govt Urges Youths to Apply for Ongoing Police Recruitment

The Delta State Government has called on qualified youths of the state to participate in the ongoing recruitment of constables into the Nigeria Police Force, in line with a directive by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The call was contained in a statement issued by the Director-General of the Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, who confirmed that the Police Service Commission has opened nationwide applications for enlistment.

He said the recruitment process, which is free and conducted online, is open to eligible Nigerians, with special encouragement extended to youths of Delta State origin. The state government, through its youth enlistment committee, is also providing guidance to interested applicants throughout the process.

Dr Oghenesivbe noted that the exercise aligns with the administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s employment and security agenda, adding that the recruitment portal opened on December 15, 2025, and will close on January 25, 2026, covering both general duty and specialist roles within the police force.
